An editorial plan for every client, without starting from scratch each month
A clear brand, content pillars and a shared calendar. How to set up the month's plan and use AI as a starting point, not a shortcut.
The editorial plan is the part of the job everyone would like to do calmly and almost always ends up doing in a rush, the night before the month starts. With one client, it holds up. With ten, it doesn’t.
Start from the brand, not the calendar
Before the dates come the basics: how the brand speaks, which colours it uses, what its style is. If these are written down somewhere, every post starts in the right direction, whoever prepares it.
In Kelp Studio every project has its own brand identity: the AI analyses the brand to work out its voice, colours and style. You confirm and adjust them, and the AI’s drafts start from there.
A few pillars, repeated well
A plan that works usually revolves around three or four recurring themes. For a garden centre, say: seasonal plants, care tips, life in the greenhouse, what’s new in store. Pillars make the plan predictable for you and recognisable for the people who follow the account.
A first draft, then your judgement
AI is useful for getting past the blank page. In the project you can have it suggest the month’s plan and preview it before confirming: drop what doesn’t convince you, move dates, add the occasions only you know about.
The judgement stays yours. The AI prepares, you decide.
One calendar for every client
With many clients, the risk isn’t running out of ideas but losing track of deadlines. A single calendar with every project shows you straight away where there’s a gap and where deliveries pile up.
Close the loop with approval
A plan is done when the client has seen it. Send posts for approval with a link, collect notes pinned on the image and only schedule what’s approved.
Next month you don’t start from scratch: brand, pillars and calendar are already there.
